MyCashLog Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") describe your rights and responsibilities when using the MyCashLog mobile and web applications, dashboards, APIs, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Acceptance & Updates

    You must be at least 16 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement to use MyCashLog. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. When material updates occur we will notify you through the app, email, or other reasonable means.

  2. Accounts & Security

    • You are responsible for keeping your device secure and safeguarding any PINs or credentials configured in the app.
    • You agree to provide accurate information when creating budgets, categories, or data backups and to promptly update anything that becomes inaccurate.
    • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected security incident related to your account.
  3. Permitted Use

    MyCashLog is designed for personal budgeting, expense tracking, and analytics.

    • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code except where allowed by law.
    • Uploading malicious code or interfering with network, database, or notification infrastructure.
    • Using automated scripts or harvesting tools to scrape data or overload the Service.
    • Engaging in fraud, money laundering, or other unlawful activities.
    • Misrepresenting your identity or impersonating other users.
  4. Financial & Analytical Features

    The Service offers features such as quick transactions, auto-categorization, recurring entries, budgets with alerts, reports, exports, and receipt scanning. These features depend on the information you provide and may rely on third-party frameworks (including but not limited to Firebase, Google ML Kit, Hive, and local notification APIs). We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, accuracy of OCR or AI recommendations, or real-time delivery of alerts.

    MyCashLog is not a bank, broker, investment adviser, or tax preparer. All analytics, projections, and insights are informational only and should not be considered financial, investment, or tax advice. Always consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions.

  5. Payments & Subscriptions

    Certain premium features may be offered as one-time purchases or subscriptions through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or other marketplaces. All billing, renewal, and refund policies are governed by the applicable storefront. You authorize the storefront provider to charge your selected payment method for the price shown at checkout, plus any applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change pricing or discontinue paid offerings with reasonable notice.

  6. Data, Privacy & Backups

    • Local storage is powered by Hive boxes and optional SQL/Hive backups you initiate. You are responsible for safeguarding exported files.
    • Cloud services (e.g., Firebase authentication or sync) may process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
    • By using the Service you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your data solely for operating the Service.
    • If you share reports or exports externally, you are solely responsible for controlling those copies.
  7. Intellectual Property

    MyCashLog, including all content, UI components, code, and trademarks, is owned by the app publisher or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Feedback you provide may be used without obligation or compensation.

  8. Third-Party Services

    The Service integrates third-party SDKs and system APIs (such as Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google ML Kit, file pickers, and OS-level permissions). Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms; you are responsible for reviewing and complying with them.

  9. Suspension & Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access without notice if you violate these Terms, use the Service in a way that poses risk to other users, or as required by law. Upon termination, Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.

  10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

    TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $25. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS; LOST DATA; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

  11. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyCashLog, its owners, affiliates, employees, and licensors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

  12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

    These Terms are governed by the laws of your country or state of residence, without regard to conflict of law principles. If a dispute arises, the parties will attempt to resolve it informally within 30 days. If unresolved, the dispute will be submitted to a competent court located in the jurisdiction of the app publisher, unless applicable law requires a different venue.

  13. Changes to the Service

    We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature (including budgets, reports, exports, OCR, or integrations) with reasonable notice where possible. We are not liable for any modification or discontinuation of the Service or any feature set.
